All About Demi
Demi Lovato was born in Dallas, Texas on August 20, 1992 to Patrick and Dianna Lovato. She has an older sister, Dallas Lovato, and a younger half sister, Madison De La Garza. Demi's parents divorced in 1994.
Demi began her acting career at the age of six on the children's television series Barney & Friends (where she first met Selena Gomez) as Angela, appearing in seasons seven and eight.
But is wasn't until 2007 that she got her first Disney role as Charlotte Adams on the Disney Channel Original Short Series, As the Bell Rings. This led to her staring role as Mitchie Torres in the DCOM Camp Rock which premiered on June 20 2008. Demi's debut album, Don't Forget, quickly followed and was released September 23, 2008.
Following the success of the movie and first album, Demi began filming for a new Disney Channel Original Series, Sonny With a Chance, which premiered on February 8, 2009. She also filmed the DCOM Princess Protection Program alongside long time friend Selena Gomez. And quickly followed that up with her second studio album, Here We Go Again, on July 21, 2009.
In 2010, you can expect to see even more from Demi, including the DCOM Camp Rock 2 and the second season of Sonny With a Chance.
